Riverside Community Church | Lead Pastor 6/98-Present RCC as a whole is a church of 700-800 people. While on staff at RCC my portfolio has adapted over the years. The roles have been as follows: Associate Pastor, Adult Ministries Pastor, Mills Campus Pastor and Executive/Co-Lead Pastor. As of June 24, 2020 I now serve as the Lead Pastor.
Establish the mission/vision/core values and keep the organization focused to keep from mission drift.
Administer, oversee and support all ministries of the church, meeting regularly with leaders to plan and implement ministry initiatives with the explicit purpose of leading the church toward fulfilling its mission of helping people find and follow Jesus.
Meet frequently with the preaching/teaching team to plan message series and prepare to provide consistent, sound, biblical preaching and teaching as scheduled.
Launch a multisite campus in the Pittsburgh Mills Mall and provide oversite as the campus pastor.
Develop and implement the Learning To Follow Jesus one-on-one coach approach to discipleship.
Promote, recruit, equip, support and lead Connect Groups and Connect Group Leaders.
Launch and facilitate an ongoing Deep leadership pipeline to develop future spiritual leaders in the marketplace as well as within the local church (staff, board, volunteers, etc.).
Develop and host Married Life seminars three time a year to prepare and enrich marriages.
Develop and oversee the process of following up on visitors, assimilating newcomers and following up absentee adherents.
Oversee all Caring Ministries (Stephen Ministry, Meal, Visitation, Construction and Prayer Teams).
Oversee the Hospitality Ministries: Ushers, Greeters, Hosts/Hostesses, Communion Preparers
Communicate with the staff weekly cares and concerns and ensure that pastoral care is provided to those who are hospitalized, shut-ins and those in crisis; and make weekly hospital and shut-in visits.
Present and manage the annual adult ministries budgets as well as oversee the entire budget process for the church.
Oversee the recruitment, hiring, and supervision of all staff.
Oversee the scheduling of all events and activities on the church calendar and coordinate all church-wide events.
Co-lead monthly Board Meetings and Annual Membership Meetings.
Seek to maintain positive relationships with other ministers and leaders in the community as well as other ministers within the Assemblies of God.
Perform other regular ministerial functions such as counseling, coaching, weddings, funerals, baby dedications, benevolence, etc.

James River Assembly | Youth Administrator 7/94-5/98
Maintain day to day general office operations and responsible for production of youth publications.
Construct and maintain an annual youth budget of $46,000.
Administrate benevolence ministry for the youth department.
Assist in planning missions trips and in maintaining a $27,000 missions budget.
Plan, promote, and implement over 50 events and outreaches per year.
Interview, orient, develop, and train a youth staff of over 85 leaders.
Maintain an effective youth Christian Education program for grades 6-12.
