Below are notes that I took to serve as a book summary for David Instone Brewer's book, Divorce and Remarriage In The Church. The second PDF has all of the references from the Kindle edition. Here is a description of the book:

Yet when we turn to Scripture for guidance, we often hear conflicting messages about its teachings. David Instone-Brewer shows how, when properly understood, the New Testament provides faithful, realistic and wise guidance of crucial importance and practical help for the church today.
After having read this book and studied the Scriptures thoroughly myself I shared a message from Mark 10 where Jesus was asked what He thought about the matter.
